Catherine Pashigian has been singing in the Juneau community since 1993 when she played the role of Ruth in the Juneau Lyric Opera's production of Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance. Since then she has sung in many other productions with Juneau Lyric Opera, Operato Go, The Juneau Symphony, and the Juneau Bach Society. Ms. Pashigian was an Opera theater Major at Hartt College of Music in Hartford Connecticut but now is a voice student of Dr. John d'Armand. She has worked with the Alaska Youth Choir and enjoys integrating music into her kindergarten/first grade class at Auke By Elementary School.
